Duracell has partnered with Bee’ah, the UAE’s leading integrated environmental and waste management company, to drive sustainability across the emirates in line with Vision 2021. As part of The Great Battery Challenge, both organisations will raise awareness of how people can recycle their batteries, in an effort to protect the environment.
Studies have shown that the vast majority of batteries purchased in the UAE each year end up in landfill, where contents can be hazardous to the environment. The Great Battery Challenge aims to inspire future generations, including school children and employees, to become advocates for environmental change by responsibly disposing of their used batteries.
